About this Role The National Engagement Manager at World Resources Institute Europe will play a vital role in the Coalition for High Ambition Multilevel Partnerships (CHAMP) for Climate Action. Since its inception in 2023, CHAMP has become a leading platform for multilevel climate partnerships, with 77 endorsing countries. The role involves strategic engagement across CHAMP-endorsing countries and partner organizations, focusing on impactful events like the annual High-Level Political Dialogue and regional convenings. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and international partners to strengthen alliances, leverage opportunities, and translate experiences into strategic insights. Additionally, you will ensure the alignment of agendas and participation in key forums like COPs and Climate Weeks, enhancing the initiative’s influence and engagement within critical processes.
Responsibilities
- Engage strategically with CHAMP-endorsing countries and partners to maintain visibility on key decision-makers and climate priorities.
- Collate outcomes and key learnings from CHAMP implementation to identify trends and opportunities, and provide actionable insights.
- Design and deliver high-level CHAMP convenings, ensuring agendas align with strategic goals.
- Foster strategic engagement opportunities at global forums to advance CHAMP priorities.
- Coordinate with WRI workstreams, country offices, and partners on CHAMP-related activities.
- Provide necessary information to maximize engagement impact.
Requirements
- Completed bachelor’s degree in communications, international relations, environmental studies, or a related field.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership management in international or climate contexts.
- Expertise in multilevel partnerships and subnational climate action.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering high-level engagements.
- Experience with international stakeholders, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and diplomatic judgment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
