About this Role

The Social Impact Advisor at Balfour Beatty is responsible for leading social impact initiatives for the Lewis Hub project. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with client expectations and Balfour Beatty’s Building New Futures strategy. The advisor will engage in planning and executing events and activities, integrating local needs and client requirements, and ensuring compliance with Scottish Government policies. In this role, you will support and develop social impact action plans, enhance stakeholder relationships, and coordinate local supply chain integration, aiming to foster opportunities in apprenticeships, volunteering, or work experience. You will also maintain awareness of internal apprenticeship opportunities and promote outreach and referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Lewis Hub social impact action plan, ensuring alignment with strategy and client commitments.
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of community and educational events and workshops.
  • Develop Social Impact Action plans contributing local insight and supporting delivery teams.
  • Perform needs analysis in alignment with client requirements and government policies.
  • Assist with logistics, scheduling, and material preparation for community events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including schools and community groups.
  • Engage the local supply chain to identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Represent the project in community-facing activities and outreach programs.

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting community, education, social impact, or employer-supported volunteering initiatives.
