About this Role

The Investment analyst or associate for The Fund for Nature will be an essential part of Cross Boundary’s investment team.

The role involves supporting deal origination, conducting comprehensive investment analysis, and contributing to portfolio management within the firm’s target markets.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an early-career investor who is passionate about sustainable finance and natural capital, providing a platform to develop analytical skills and hands-on experience in the field.

The Analyst/Associate will report to the Investment Director and collaborate closely with a team focused on pioneering transactions that integrate financial returns and environmental impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Support the identification and screening of reforestation, blue carbon, and sustainable agriculture investment opportunities in emerging markets.
  • Conduct rigorous investment analysis for corporate and project-level opportunities, including financial modeling and due diligence.
  • Assist in ongoing monitoring of portfolio investments, tracking performance against key performance indicators.
  • Support the preparation of investment committee materials, providing clear and detailed analysis.
  • Contribute to investor relations by compiling well-presented data on deal progress and portfolio performance.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in an investment role, with exposure to infrastructure, project finance, or private equity.
  • Solid financial modeling skills, with the ability to handle project-level cash flow models.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, capable of converting large sets of information into well-structured outputs.
  • Familiarity with voluntary carbon markets and a strong interest in developing knowledge in this area.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
