About this Role

The Associate Director, Investor Relations position at New Forests involves collaborating with the Head of Institutional Fundraising UK and Europe to advance the company’s capital raising strategy within the UK and European markets. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the global Investor Relations team, contributing to capital raising, client relations, and communication efforts to maintain high-quality, long-term investor relationships. Based preferably in the United Kingdom or Europe, the role requires adeptness in working within a fast-paced environment. The candidate will engage in diverse activities, including educating investors, identifying new clients, and participating in forums, all to support the expansion of New Forests’ investment products. The role also involves developing compelling narratives to propel investor engagement and capital raise efforts. Collaborating with Nomura Asset Management will be crucial to leveraging existing networks for increased investments. Coordination with the communications team for brand awareness and with global colleagues for support in due diligence materials will also form an essential part of the role. The position demands international travel as required to support strategic initiatives across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Educating prospective investors in the UK and European region about the natural capital asset class.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential institutional and impact investment clients.
  • Representing New Forests at forums and events across the UK and Europe.
  • Supporting and driving the fundraising process, including planning capital raising campaigns.
  • Developing and managing relationships with key investment clients in the UK and Europe.
  • Developing strong narratives and investment theses to support investor education.
  • Collaborating with Nomura Asset Management as part of the distribution partnership.
  • Coordinating with the communications team to grow brand and product awareness.
  • Collaborating on due diligence and fundraising materials with the global team.
  • Traveling within the UK, European region, and internationally as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in real assets and impact investing, particularly alternative assets.
  • Strong experience in institutional and wholesale product capital raising.
  • Direct institutional client experience with maturity in managing investor relations.
  • Experience raising capital for commingled funds and separate accounts.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields like business, finance, or economics.
  • Excellent project management with highly developed organizational skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills for handling complex information.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability and responsible investment.
  • Team player capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
