Impact XM is seeking an Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of high-profile brand experiences for our clients across the UK and globally. This role is responsible for end-to-end event ownership—from strategic planning and creative development through to on-site execution and post-event evaluation.
As a key member of our Client Delivery team, the Event Manager will collaborate closely with internal account, creative, strategy, and production teams to ensure events are executed to the highest standard and aligned to client objectives. This individual will manage multiple programmes simultaneously, oversee vendors and suppliers, control budgets, and represent Impact XM and our clients with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full lifecycle of live and hybrid events, exhibitions, conferences, and experiential programmes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate client goals into compelling event concepts and engagement strategies.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and production schedules; negotiate with suppliers and venues to ensure value and quality.
- Oversee logistics including registration, travel, accommodation, shipping/receiving, and on-site operations.
- Serve as primary event lead on site, ensuring flawless delivery and client satisfaction.
- Track and measure programme outcomes to inform continuous improvement and account growth opportunities.
- Mentor junior team members and work closely with agency and freelance partners.
- 6–8+ years of experience managing complex live events, exhibitions, or experiential programmes (agency experience a plus).
- Demonstrated success leading projects from brief through execution with multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills with the ability to manage expectations, solve problems, and drive decisions.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, suppliers, and competing timelines in fast-paced environments.
- Experience in a global or EMEA-focused events role.
- Familiarity with the life sciences, technology, automotive, or B2B sectors.
- Knowledge of current trends in experiential marketing, attendee engagement, and event technology solutions.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMP) are advantageous but not required.
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills.
- Client-centric approach with strong commercial awareness.
- Collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
