Test Manager – Disaster Recovery / Back-up & Restore

We\’re working closely with our client to test their Disaster Recovery processes in support of their broader Operational Resilience improvement programme. We therefore need an experienced Test Manager who can plan, coordinate and execute Disaster Recovery testing.
Key duties:
- Act as the central coordinator to develop and implement project plans, timelines, and resources for data centre disaster recovery initiatives
- Lead and manage the execution of disaster recovery exercises, ensuring all aspects are thoroughly planned and evaluated
- Collaborate with various stakeholders from application and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment on recovery objectives and strategies
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with disaster recovery processes
- Document findings, lessons learned and best practices for future exercises
- Monitor and report on the progress of disaster recovery exercise result findings and ensure follow up items are being tracked until closure
Suitable candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience of Disaster recovery testing
- Automation tooling execution
- Experience of reviewing / checking test evidence, just as IT Audit might
- Experience of IBMz, IBMi and Distributed platforms (IBM iSeries, AS/400 etc.)
- The ability to communicate with both technical teams and application/business area
Experience / exposure to the following would be highly regarded:
- Experience of 3rd Party Cloud providers
- Testing methodologies (ITIL)
- Core Banking or related banking infrastructure
