Join Us as a SEN Teaching Assistant Special Needs Autism in an SEN School. We are currently supporting a school in Southwark, who we have had a strong relationship with for many years in recruiting a Sports Coach to join their amazing team. They are looking to secure a strong, qualified Sports Coach with SEMH, ADHD and Autism experience to work in an inclusive classroom.
Responsibilities
- The SEN Teaching Assistant will be expected to collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure students continuously challenge themselves to improve.
- Establish and maintain the standards of pupil behaviour required to create an orderly and productive environment.
- Strong understanding of mental health challenges in children and adolescents.
- Experience in implementing strategies to support emotional well-being.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, as well as a PGCE or equivalent Teaching qualification, to be eligible for this role.
- Additionally, you will need to have, or be eligible for, British QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent to be considered for this job.
- Proven classroom experience or training is also required.
