Join us as a SEN Teacher Special Needs PMLD in an SEN School. We are supporting a SEN school in recruiting a SEN Teacher to work with Primary and Secondary students. The school is seeking a qualified (QTS or QTLS) teacher with experience supporting children with Autism, sensory needs, complex learning difficulties, and PMLD.

Responsibilities

  • The successful SEN Teacher Special Needs PMLD will plan creative lessons with excellent subject knowledge, undertake marking, and participate in parent evenings.
  • The ideal SEN Teacher Special Needs PMLD for this role will demonstrate a willingness to explore new ideas that contribute to the development of a learning culture in the school.
  • Knowledge of sensory integration therapy techniques.
  • Patience and empathy in addressing complex learning challenges.

Qualifications / Experience

  • You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, as well as a PGCE or equivalent Teaching qualification, to be eligible for this role.
  • Additionally, you will need to have, or be eligible for, British QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent to be considered for this job.
  • To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
