Impact Student Partners is a Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Provider that specialises in supporting students with disabilities including SpLDs, Mental Health Conditions and Neurodiversity. We partner with Higher Education institutions such as Universities and Colleges across the UK.

The role: We are currently recruiting for Study Skills Tutors (SpLD) based in and around Liverpool that can offer a hybrid approach to supporting students – this means you must be able to provide both online and in-person support.

Responsibilities: As a One-to-One Study Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for supporting students during their studies and helping them to develop effective learning strategies including:

  • Academic reading and comprehension strategies
  • Time management – managing workloads and deadlines
  • Breaking down and understanding assignment briefs
  • Structuring assignments – including referencing skills
  • Spelling, grammar, and proof-reading systems
  • Notetaking and process information – supporting students to understand the best approach
  • Exam and revision techniques

Experience and qualifications: It is essential that you hold a relevant professional body membership (full or associate level) from either PATOSS, BDA, PASSHE or Dyslexia Guild.

Pay and benefits: You will be employed on a temporary basis and can choose to support as many students as you wish. There is a huge amount of flexibility available to you and we offer a competitive hourly rate.
