Impact Student Partners is a Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Provider that specialises in supporting students with disabilities including SpLDs, Mental Health Conditions and Neurodiversity. We partner with Higher Education institutions such as Universities and Colleges across the UK.
We are currently recruiting for Specialist Mentors (Mental Health) based in and around Coventry that can offer a hybrid approach to supporting students β this means you must be able to provide both online and in-person support.
Responsibilities:
- Helping students to stay focused on their studies β especially during times when their mental health may fluctuate
- Organisation and time management - planning and structuring workloads
- Managing anxiety and stress
- Executive functioning support β organisation, task prioritisation, balancing time
- Handling the emotional impact of study β such as academic stress or responding to or interpreting feedback
- Identifying students that may be at risk β either through disengagement or from various warning signs including actions, thoughts or behaviours
Experience and qualifications:
- You should understand different mental health conditions and how they may impact a student as part of their studies.
- It is essential that you hold a relevant professional body membership such as MBACP, BPS, COSCA, GMC, HCPC, ISPC, IACP, NCPS, NMC, SWE, SCW, NISCC, UKCP or UMHAN.
- The role would be well suited for qualified mental health professionals or practitioners such as a counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatric nurse, or mental health nurse. Many of our Specialist Mentors will support students alongside their main role as a mental health practitioner.

- You will be employed on a flexible temporary basis and can choose to support as many students as you wish. There is a huge amount of flexibility available to you and we offer a competitive hourly rate.
