Description: Are you an organised and analytical Production Planner with experience in a manufacturing environment? Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join a specialist manufacturing business. This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Contract: Permanent
The Role: As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing operations in a make-to-order environment, ensuring effective use of labour, materials, and equipment.
- Developing and maintaining detailed production schedules
- Planning output based on customer orders and project timelines
- Coordinating raw material requirements with supply chain teams
- Sequencing production to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
- Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules where necessary
- Maintaining accurate BOMs, routings, and lead times within ERP/MRP systems
- Tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels
- Collaborating closely with operations, engineering, quality, and sales teams
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a Production Planner or Scheduling role within manufacturing
- Strong understanding of make-to-order or project-based environments
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
