Overview: We’re working with a specialist construction engineering organisation that supports major building projects across the UK. The role is a hands‑on operational position that blends health and safety ownership with warehouse operations coordination. The Role: Dual‑responsibility Position Combining: 60% Health & Safety ownership, 40% Warehouse operations coordination.
- Own site health and safety processes and compliance.
- Maintain risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Ensure procedures meet current legislation requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monthly reviews.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Introduce and manage near‑miss reporting initiatives.
- Monitor and report safety KPIs.
- Deliver safety training, coaching, and inductions.
- Support First Aid and Fire Marshal compliance programmes.
- Liaise with external partners including Worknest and HSE.
- Review and improve policies and procedures.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the site.
- Support daily warehouse coordination activities.
- Assist with labour planning and workflow prioritisation.
- Support shipment sign‑off where required.
- Provide Shift Supervisor cover when needed.
- Act as Assistant to the Warehouse Manager.
- Help maintain smooth operational continuity across site.
- Work closely with teams to improve efficiency and safety standards.
