Impact Recruitment are currently working with a well-established bespoke joinery business based in Wellingborough, specialising in the manufacture of commercial display stands, retail fixtures, and bespoke furniture. They are looking to recruit an experienced Bench Joiner to join their workshop team, with the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and bespoke projects.
Location: Wellingborough
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 07:30 - 16:30 / Friday, 07:30 - 13:30
Pay: £17.00 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Duties:
- Manufacture and assemble bespoke furniture, commercial display stands, fixtures, and joinery products
- Work from technical drawings, diagrams, and build instructions
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble components accurately
- Work with a variety of materials including MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneers, laminates, glass, metal, and acrylics
- Use a range of hand and power tools to complete joinery work
- Operate woodworking machinery including wall saws, spindle moulders, edge banders, and similar equipment
- Ensure completed work meets the required quality standards and project specifications
- Work as part of a small team to complete projects efficiently and to deadline
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
The Ideal Candidate Must:
- Have proven experience as a Bench Joiner or similar skilled joinery role
- Have experience working with a range of timber and sheet materials, including MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneers, and laminates
- Be confident using hand and power tools and woodworking machinery
- Be able to read and follow technical drawings and diagrams
- Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in the quality of their work
- Be reliable, hardworking, and able to manage their own workload
- Be comfortable working within a small team environment
