Overview: If you take pride in building high-performance wiring harnesses to exacting standards and you know the difference between good enough and motorsport-grade, this could be the role for you. Impact Recruitment are supporting a specialist electrical manufacturing business operating at the sharp end of performance engineering. They produce complex, precision-built wiring harnesses for technically demanding applications where quality, reliability and attention to detail are non-negotiable. This is not repetitive bench work. You will be building everything from high voltage cables through to intricate, multi-branch harnesses, working from detailed drawings and, at times, minimal information to develop prototype and first-off builds. You will be trusted to think, not just assemble.
You Will:
- Build complex harnesses to a consistently high standard
- Prototype directly onto vehicles and define routing best practice
- Create Bills of Materials for first builds
- Use Cirris testing equipment to validate finished harnesses
- Work closely with engineering, quality and logistics to hit delivery targets
- Contribute to SOP creation and continuous improvement
We are looking for someone with at least three years' experience in a technical environment such as motorsport, automotive or defence. You will be confident with high voltage cable preparation and crimping, automated crimp press tools, System 25 materials and contra-helical lay‑ups. You will understand IPC standards, or be willing to work towards them, and be comfortable reading technical drawings without supervision. Equally important is your mindset. You will be hands‑on, detail‑driven and comfortable working to tight deadlines. You take ownership, communicate well and enjoy being part of a close‑knit, high‑performing team.
Benefits:
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 to £35,000 on a stable day shift within a business that values technical skill and precision workmanship. If you are ready to work on complex, challenging builds where your expertise genuinely matters, we would be pleased to hear from you.
