Are you an experienced engineer looking to work on projects within the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector? We are recruiting on behalf of a growing specialist business delivering bespoke security infrastructure for solar farms across the UK. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for an experienced engineer with electrical installation knowledge to join their team installing and commissioning systems. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of site installations and work closely with project managers and construction teams. This role is field-based across the UK with national travel and staying away (all paid for).

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 per annum + vehicle + bonus + allowances

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission security infrastructure on solar farm projects
  • Carry out groundworks, small excavations, and pole installations
  • Install electrical cabinets and infrastructure equipment
  • Perform electrical wiring, splicing and Cat6/Cat7 cabling
  • Install and configure CCTV systems, optical and infrared cameras
  • Install access control systems and security equipment
  • Conduct testing, commissioning and system walk-throughs
  • Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on site
  • Work closely with engineers and project teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently
