Are you an experienced Shift Supervisor with a strong background in warehouse or distribution operations? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced environment where leadership, organisation, and operational efficiency are key? If so, we want to hear from you. We are currently recruiting for a Shift Supervisor to join a well‑established distribution centre based in Thrapston. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of daily warehouse operations, leading teams across inbound, outbound, returns, and quality processes while driving performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
Position Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday (06:30 – 14:30)
- Contract: Permanent
- Salary: up to £40,000
Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including goods in, putaway, despatch, returns, QA/QC, and shipping administration
- Supervise warehouse personnel, equipment, and operational zones
- Ensure safe opening and closing of the distribution centre when required
- Maintain operational accuracy, productivity, and KPI performance
- Allocate labour effectively in line with daily operational plans
- Monitor operational flow and escalate risks, delays, or performance issues
- Support correct use of warehouse systems and operational tools
- Maintain site security and control access for drivers, contractors, and visitors
- Carry out operational handovers and maintain communication across shifts
- Work closely with internal departments to resolve stock, service, or system‑related issues
