Workshop Support Operative | Permanent Role | Northampton | Flexible Hours Available

We're working with a well-established and growing precision engineering business in Northampton who are seeking a hands-on, organised and proactive individual to join their team. This is far more than a standard workshop role; you'll be at the centre of operations, supporting everything from administration and stock control through to packing, inspection, and production support. If you enjoy variety, like to stay busy, and want to develop within a technical environment, this could be the ideal opportunity.

The Role

  • Supporting workshop operations across multiple departments
  • Creating purchase orders and maintaining accurate records
  • Managing and filing technical documentation
  • Booking materials in and out of the system
  • Packing and preparing finished components for dispatch
  • Labelling parts to meet customer and quality standards
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory checks
  • Supporting the Inspection team alongside the Quality Engineer
  • Learning additional processes such as laser marking (full training provided)

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • A hands-on, flexible approach to work
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office or similar)
