We're recruiting for an Operative to join a well-established and innovative automotive manufacturer based in Daventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing or testing, but we are also open to candidates who are eager to learn and develop within the role.

Responsibilities

  • Low-pressure leak testing of exhaust components to ensure integrity
  • Low-voltage electrical testing of system components
  • Assembly of parts using hand-held and battery-powered tools
  • Visual inspection of welds and finishing of components (removal of weld spatter/fume)
  • Supporting quality checks and product evaluation alongside QA teams
  • Preparing and setting up tools, equipment, and test rigs
  • Reviewing completed assemblies to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Reporting and assisting in resolving fabrication or assembly issues
  • Arranging parts for the next stage using correct handling and storage methods
  • Working in line with SOPs, risk assessments, and H&S guidelines
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and new project work
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Qualifications

  • Experience within a manufacturing or automotive environment is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
  • Good manual dexterity and practical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible attitude with willingness to take on a variety of tasks
  • Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
