Are you an experienced Laser Setter / Operator with strong knowledge of Amada machinery and a passion for precision sheet metal work? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering business in Northampton for a skilled Laser Setter / Operator to set, operate, and monitor Amada CNC laser or punch/laser combination machines. You'll play a key role in producing high-quality components safely, efficiently, and in line with production and quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Set up, operate, and adjust Amada CNC laser and punch/laser combination machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job instructions
- Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Monitor production runs to ensure quality, efficiency, and output targets are achieved
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, machine checks, and basic fault finding
- Safely load and unload sheet materials and finished parts
- Ensure all components meet dimensional and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Follow all health and safety regulations
