Here at Impact Recruitment, we are working closely with a company based in Northampton to hire a Warehouse Manager.

Salary: £42 - 45k

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Northampton

Job Summary: As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Central Distribution Centre, ensuring the smooth flow of Goods In, Goods Out, and managing both warehouse and office-based staff. This requires a leader who can maintain efficiency, meet KPIs and SLAs, and uphold high customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure warehouse processes are followed, and goods are accurately processed within required timeframes.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs, identifying and addressing productivity issues while offering coaching and training.
  • Support supervisors in planning delivery schedules to maximize storage and resource availability.
  • Oversee daily task allocation and delegation to improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Implement quality control processes to quickly identify and correct errors.
  • Recruit and train new team members while supporting the ongoing coaching and upskilling of supervisors.
  • Report KPI performance to the Operations Director and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, addressing concerns and implementing corrective actions.
  • Oversee stock checks, process adherence, and warehouse cleanliness.
  • Manage overall people-related responsibilities, including performance management, absence tracking, and recruitment.
  • Handle customer and branch escalations, ensuring the CDC remains a central support hub for external customers.

About You:

  • Previous experience managing a warehouse team.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes and systems.
  • A positive and flexible attitude to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proven track record in customer service and communication.
  • Strong coaching skills to mentor supervisors and team members.
  • The ability to analyse data and report on performance metrics.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
