Project Accountant

Location: Northampton or Leicester

Contract: Fixed Term (9 months)

Salary: ÂŁ40,000 negotiable

Are you the kind of person who sees a spreadsheet and thinks, \”Ah yes, my natural habitat\”? Do you thrive in the thrilling world of budgets, dashboards, and the occasional audit-induced adrenaline rush?

We\’re looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team for 9 months of fixed-term fun. You\’ll be supporting strategic projects, wrangling reports, and occasionally whispering sweet nothings to Chrome River and Katchr dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end reporting and produce VAT returns, management accounts, and statutory accounts
  • Drive improvements in finance processes and systems (Chrome River AP, Katchr dashboards)
  • Support budgeting, payroll, bonus calculations, and partner payments
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making
  • Manage direct reports and oversee purchase/nominal ledgers
  • Prepare for audits and liaise with auditors

What We\’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Experience in team management and financial reporting
  • Accounting qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • A collaborative mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
