As Operations Co-ordinator for this hugely successful firm in the events industry, you will be the main point of contact for site crew and be responsible for the planning and co-ordination of plant and equipment required on project sites.
Working alongside the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating a site team of 20 crew, building strong working relationships with colleagues and be confident delegating work.
Key Responsibilities for the Operations Coordinator include:
- Sourcing and booking of stock & plant equipment incl. managing deliveries and collections
- Point of contact for site to report plant faults and ensuring repairs etc. are carried out
- Book / reserve all hotel accommodation required across the UK
- Weekly management of the site crew timesheets, closing anomalies etc.
- Coordinate booking of training courses, ensuring documentation is received following training course attendance.
- Raise logistics project related POs for subcontractors, site equipment and consumables.
- Invoicing - review delegated invoices and take role of 1st approver
- Assistance in preparation of RAMs, Work Wallet and other H&S documents
Skills and Experience required from the Operations Coordinator:
- Experience working in a similar coordinating role, would be ideal
- Whilst being organized and process driven is a big element of this role, you must also be comfortable working in a reactive work environment, often working under time critical pressures where plans/jobs can change.
- Due to the nature of the work, applicants must possess a full, clean driving license along with their own transport
- IT Literate including Excel and Word
