We\’re working with a leading company in Northampton who need a trainee Maintenance Technician to join their field based team. MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE DUE TO A RURAL HEAD OFFICE LOCATION.

As a Labourer, you\’ll be learning the ropes from skilled Maintenance Technicians working alongside a strong team to learn how to install and maintain equipment on construction sites. This isn\’t just a labouring job where you\’re treated like a number. You\’ll be learning the trade, getting hands-on with the machinery, and building skills that\’ll take you to becoming a fully trained technician. We\’re talking about a proper career path, not just a job.

Responsibilities

• Conducting inspections of installed equipment
• Complete general maintenance and servicing work
• General metalwork, woodworking and touch ups
• Surfacing using a range of materials
• Completing reports following inspectionsMaintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
• Using a range of construction tools and equipment

Qualifications

• Must have strong practical skills, ideally with a knowledge of construction processes
• Able to work with your hands and use various hand tools
• CSCS card preferred
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Must be able to drive
• Comfortable staying away on occasions
