Impact Recruitment is working with a client who specialise in the design, manufacture, and supply of custom-built equipment and general fabrications. They are looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their production team. This hands-on role involves the fabrication of bespoke mild steel equipment using both standard stock sections and precision-machined parts.
Salary: Β£35,000 - Β£36,000 (Depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Location: Northampton
Job Duties:
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to build bespoke lifting components.
* Fabricate components from mild steel using MIG welding techniques.
* Accurately tack, weld, grind, and finish work to a high standard.
* Work alongside our machine operator to ensure seamless production.
* Follow and adapt to weekly production schedules and deadlines.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with company standards.
* Assist with occasional general fabrication tasks as needed.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years\' experience in MIG welding and fabrication (required).
* Strong ability to fabricate accurately and efficiently from technical drawings.
* Confident working independently and as part of a team.
* A problem-solver with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
* TIG welding experience (advantageous but not essential).
