Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Daventry | £48,000 + Bonus | Mon-Fri (AM Shift)
Are you a multi-skilled engineer who thrives in a busy manufacturing environment and takes pride in machinery reliability and performance?
We\’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturer in Daventry. You\’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving production assets, running preventive and reactive maintenance, and ensuring equipment stays robust, efficient, and performing at its best.
What you’ll be doing:
- Run preventive and reactive maintenance across production equipment
- Complete inspections and record all engineering work within the E-Maint PPM System
- Perform electrical fault finding and mechanical troubleshooting to minimise downtime
- Maintain tools, equipment and engineering areas to a high operational standard
- Work across cutting, packaging, depositing/cleaning machinery, motors, pumps, emergency lighting + DAF plant systems
- Support and liaise with external contractors/technicians during maintenance and utility-related activities.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement programmes, including 5S, RCA, and 5 Whys
What we’re looking for:
- Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications
- 17th/18th Edition certification
- Previous experience within FMCG environment (essential)
- Strong technical background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Confident communicator with strong self-management skills
- Excellent fault finding ability (electrical and mechanical)
- Flexible, proactive, high attention to detail
- Team player who can coach, support and collaborate effectively
