Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients on a permanent basis in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business offering flexibility, autonomy, and long-term stability within a modern production environment.
Role: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Hours: Flexible working hours Monday - Friday between 6:00am - 10:00pm (Minimum 40 hours per week)
Location: Leicester
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Duties:
- Carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance across the site
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Complete maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when required
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures
- Manage maintenance activities independently within a standalone role
Requirements:
- Time-served Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- 18th Edition qualified
- Completed an apprenticeship within General Engineering or Machining
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding experience
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering diagrams
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Experience within plastics or injection moulding would be advantageous
- Experience working with hydraulic systems would be advantageous
