Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients on a permanent basis in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business offering flexibility, autonomy, and long-term stability within a modern production environment.

Role: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Hours: Flexible working hours Monday - Friday between 6:00am - 10:00pm (Minimum 40 hours per week)

Location: Leicester

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Duties:

  • Carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance across the site
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Complete maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when required
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures
  • Manage maintenance activities independently within a standalone role

Requirements:

  • Time-served Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
  • 18th Edition qualified
  • Completed an apprenticeship within General Engineering or Machining
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering diagrams
  • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Experience within plastics or injection moulding would be advantageous
  • Experience working with hydraulic systems would be advantageous
