Location: Enderby, Leicester

Salary: £47,000 per annum

Shift 1: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm | Saturday, 6:00am - 11:00am (every other Saturday, paid at overtime rate)

Shift 2: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a successful and growing business based in Enderby, Leicester. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a wide range of fixed plant and processing machinery. Working as part of a skilled Engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting the smooth running of site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and inspections across site machinery and equipment.
  • Respond to breakdowns and complete reactive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults effectively.
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of fixed plant equipment including gearboxes, conveyors, belts, chains, balers and associated machinery.
  • Carry out welding and fabrication work when required.
  • Complete maintenance records, reports and relevant documentation accurately.
  • Support continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team and wider site teams to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working on fixed plant, heavy machinery, recycling equipment, manufacturing machinery or similar environments.
  • Strong mechanical engineering and electrical knowledge with hands-on maintenance experience.
  • MUST be able to weld.
  • Experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, belts, chains, balers or similar equipment is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider Engineering team.
