Are you an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in stone manufacturing? We are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Kettering. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day workshop operations, lead a skilled team, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The business specialises in producing high-quality bespoke products for prestigious commercial and residential projects, working on impressive developments including major corporate offices and luxury properties.

Location: Kettering

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x

Duties:

  • Lead and manage daily factory operations, overseeing a team of 11 employees across CNC Machining, Polishing, Saw Operations and Yard functions.
  • Plan and coordinate production activities to ensure deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
  • Monitor production performance, efficiency and key operational KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and support to workshop teams.
  • Manage workflow across multiple production areas to ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues to minimise delays and downtime.
  • Maintain a strong health and safety culture across the factory.
  • Work closely with senior management to support business growth.
  • Create a positive and collaborative working environment.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have proven experience as a Production Manager, Factory Manager, Workshop Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor or similar leadership role.
  • Have previous experience within manufacturing, fabrication, stone, engineering or a similar production environment.
  • Ideally have experience managing teams across multiple areas of production.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Have a hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and support shop floor teams.
  • Possess excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Have a proactive attitude with the ability to drive improvements and positive change.
  • Be confident communicating with both shop floor teams and senior management.
