You will be supporting the wider buying function with supplier information, reporting, product set up, tenders, and day-to-day purchasing activity, so this would suit someone who likes variety and takes pride in getting the detail right.
Due to an internal promotion, this is a new role with genuine scope to develop further within buying. The business is looking for someone who is proactive, confident working with numbers, and happy to liaise with internal teams and suppliers to keep things moving properly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with the internal sales team on customer enquiries, including sourcing products, negotiating with suppliers, and providing accurate costs.
- Compiling weekly and periodic reports using Excel.
- Maintaining and updating purchasing data, including supplier terms, conditions, pricing information, and product details.
- Supporting product set up, making sure new lines are entered correctly and all required information is captured from the start.
- Assisting with tender creation and analysis, pulling together information and comparing supplier options.
