Accounts Assistant (Payroll) Northampton (NN4) Flexible Hours | Permanent 37.5 hours (consider school hours) £28-33,000 We're working with a well-established and growing business looking to add an experienced Accounts Assistant to their finance team. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys getting involved in all aspects of finance, from payroll and reconciliations through to supporting month-end processes and maintaining accurate financial records. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive environment where your contribution will be valued and where there is opportunity to develop your skills further. The Role As Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function. Responsibilities will include: Processing payroll, including deductions, payments and HMRC submissions Reconciling bank statements and company accounts Processing receipts and payments accurately Preparing and issuing invoices Maintaining financial records and databases Supporting month-end and year-end processes Assisting with financial reporting and administrative tasks Liaising with internal teams and external contacts as requiredWhat We're Looking For We're keen to speak with candidates who have: A minimum AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) Payroll experience is essential At least 3 years' experience within an accounts position Experience using Xero accounting software & Sage Payroll is ideal Strong Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational skillsWhat's In It For You? 25 days holiday Flexible working Excellent pension Company bonusIf you're an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for your next challenge and would like to find out more, we'd love to hear from you.
