Impact Recruitment are currently working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Corby who are looking to recruit a Counterbalance Driver to join their despatch team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a physically active role combining warehouse duties, stock movement, despatch preparation, and forklift driving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being on their feet and working as part of a busy team.
Location: Corby
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
Pay: £13.50 per hour, increasing to £13.75 per hour after a successful 3-month probation, with a further increase upon becoming permanent
Contract: Temp to Perm
Duties:
- Load and unload deliveries using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
- Prepare customer orders for despatch, ensuring accuracy at all times
- Stack, label, and shrink-wrap pallets ready for collection
- Move stock throughout the warehouse using pallet trucks and forklift trucks
- Process despatch paperwork and ensure all documentation is completed correctly
- Liaise with delivery drivers and transport companies throughout the day
- Carry out manual handling duties, including lifting and moving boxes and preparing pallets for shipment
- Support the wider warehouse and despatch team as required
The ideal candidate must:
- Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Have previous warehouse, despatch, or logistics experience
- Be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling throughout the day
- Have excellent communication skills with a good standard of spoken and written English
- Be confident completing paperwork accurately
- Have a positive attitude and be willing to support all areas of the despatch operation
- Be reliable, committed, and looking for a long-term opportunity
