Impact Recruitment are working on behalf of a reputable precision engineering manufacturer who are looking to recruit a skilled CNC Miller on a permanent basis. This role offers variety, technical challenge, and long-term stability within a supportive working environment.
Location: Wellingborough
Pay: £36,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
Hours: 39 hours per week (Flexible working hours between 06:00 - 16:30)
Contract: Permanent
The Role: As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines, working across a range of complex and high-precision components. Key responsibilities include:
- Programming, setting, and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Working predominantly with HAAS controls
- Producing high-quality, precision components to tight tolerances
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out tool changes, offsets, and first-off inspections
- Ensuring consistent quality and adherence to production standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement within the machining process
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller (Programmer / Setter / Operator)
- Strong online programming experience (offline training can be provided)
- Experience working with complex, high-precision components
- Background in motorsport, aerospace, or Formula 1-type components would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of parts from start to finish
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
