Are you an experienced administrator with a strong background in finance, organisation, and office operations? We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Accounts Administrator to join our friendly team in Wellingborough.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Purchase Ledger & Finance
    • Processing supplier invoices and BACS payments
    • Uploading data to QuickBooks
    • Sending remittances, raising monthly invoices, and checking for discrepancies
    • Managing credit applications and updating financial spreadsheets
  • Debtors & Credit Control
    • Chasing overdue invoices with customer accounts teams
    • Liaising internally on outstanding debts
  • Ordering & Stock Management
    • Ordering stationery, PPE, and materials as required
    • Managing stock levels, deliveries, and storage organisation
    • Assisting with hire/off-hire of equipment
  • Office & General Administration
    • Monitoring shared inboxes and updating key records
    • Handling archiving, filing, and timesheet collection
    • Supporting site operations with kit lists and delivery tickets
    • Answering phones and greeting visitors
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Monitoring fuel usage and reporting anomalies
    • Supporting with fire safety tests and basic first aid (training can be provided)

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in purchase ledger and general accounts admin
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Confident communicator across phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Reliable, proactive, and happy to roll up your sleeves and help out
  • Comfortable juggling tasks in a busy environment
  • Previous experience in construction or a trade-related office would be a bonus, but not essential.
