HR Administrator - Education

Hybrid working - 4 days onsite, 1 day wfh
Based in Cobham - Must be able to drive, and have flexibility to visit other local sites occasionally
We’re working with a leading education organisation who are looking for a warm, organised and detail-focused HR Administrator to join their friendly HR Operations team. Based mainly in Cobham, this is a varied role with a strong focus on HR administration, compliance and recruitment administration.
The role will include:
- HR administration across the employee lifecycle
- Amending contracts and employee records
- Supporting joiners and leavers with documentation and handling the process end to end
- Managing maternity & paternity case administration
- Right to Work, DBS, references and overseas checks
- Maintaining the Single Central Register (SCR)
- Updating and maintaining the new HRIS, excel trackers and SharePoint
- Helping to improve processes and ways of working within the team
What we’re looking for:
We’d love to hear from someone with HR administration experience, ideally within education, schools or another highly regulated environment. Experience of safeguarding, compliance or recruitment would be a big plus. Alongside strong attention to detail and an ability to spot mistakes! CIPD Level 3/5 would be advantageous, but not essential.
You’ll be someone who is approachable and proactive, enjoys helping others, handles confidential information with discretion and is happy to get stuck in as part of a collaborative team.
