IPS are a Milton Keynes based supplier to the live events industry. We work in three main areas: Staging & Structures, Technical Production, and Trade Equipment Hire.
We have a massive inventory of industry standard Staging, Rigging, Lighting, Video, Audio & Power equipment, a team of experienced technicians, and a fleet of dedicated delivery vehicles.
Services available include the supply of Stages and Platforms for indoor and outdoor use, the Dry Hire of individual items of equipment, through to a complete Technical Production Service.
IPS are looking for a motivated and hands-on Live Events – Asset & Procurement Support Coordinator to join our team.
This role is key to the smooth running of our live event operations — ensuring our equipment, stock, and purchasing processes are efficient, accurate, and ready to support every event.
You\’ll work closely with the Asset Manager to manage assets, coordinate repairs, liaise with suppliers, and maintain an organised inventory system. It\’s a varied, practical role that would suit someone who enjoys being at the heart of live event delivery.
Responsibilities
- Support the Asset Manager with day-to-day operations, stock control, and procurement.
- Create and oversee stocktakes, ensuring inventory records are accurate.
- Resolve stock control and barcode issues.
- Raise purchase orders and source parts, consumables, and equipment from suppliers.
- Maintain supplier relationships and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Operate in-house label printing and laser marking equipment for asset tracking.
- Manage repairs and logistics scheduling alongside technicians and warehouse teams.
- Record and report repairs, damages, and costs in line with company SLA requirements.
- Keep project, warehouse, and yard teams updated on new stock and repair statuses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.
What We\’re Looking For
- Passion for live events, music, or production.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Confident IT user – especially Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Forms).
- Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible with working hours – early starts, late finishes, and some weekends may be required.
- Physically fit and competent with manual handling.
- Professional, reliable, and approachable with a positive attitude.
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
- Ability to read electrical schematics or technical drawings.
- Experience with entertainment industry equipment or terminology.
- Familiarity with Hire Track rental software or SQL databases.
- Experience purchasing from BOM (Bill of Materials) lists.
- Interest in laser marking or asset labelling technology.
