As our business continues to grow across the UK, we are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive to help drive new client growth, strengthen relationships and expand our presence within the SME market.

What you will be doing
- You will be responsible for identifying, generating and developing new business opportunities across the SME market.
- You will work closely with operational and leadership teams to support sustainable growth across the business.
Business development
- Generate new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, partnerships and outbound activity.
- Build relationships with business owners, Managing Directors, HR leaders and senior decision makers.
- Attend face-to-face client meetings and introductory discussions across the region.
- Promote the full range of Impact HR services across HR, Health Safety, Payroll, Recruitment and HR Technology.
- Identify opportunities for both immediate and future business.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Achieve agreed activity and revenue targets.
- Support wider group growth initiatives and campaigns.
Your day to day will include:
- Lead generation and prospecting.
- Research and identify target organisations aligned to our Ideal Client Profile.
- Conduct outbound prospecting activity through telephone, email, LinkedIn and networking.
- Follow up inbound and marketing-generated enquiries.
- Qualify opportunities and understand client challenges and objectives.
- Arrange meetings and introductions with senior consultants where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity and reporting.
Networking, events and brand representation
- Represent Impact HR at networking events, seminars, exhibitions, expos and business events.
- Build strong relationships within local and regional business communities.
- Act as a visible ambassador for the Impact HR brand.
- Support webinars, roundtables and thought leadership activity.
- Develop relationships with prospective clients, introducers and strategic partners.
- Maintain a professional and credible personal presence both online and in person.
Consultative relationship building
- Understand client challenges, risks and commercial objectives.
- Identify opportunities where Impact HR can support business growth and operational improvement.
- Build trusted long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client handover.
- Support account growth opportunities across existing client relationships.
- Help deliver an outstanding client experience throughout the sales journey.
Reporting and pipeline management
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity tracking.
- Produce regular pipeline, activity and opportunity reports.
- Track lead conversion and sales performance.
- Monitor pipeline progression and forecasting.
- Take ownership of your pipeline and proactively manage opportunities through the sales process.
- Share market insight and feedback with leadership teams.
