About the Role
Are you enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about inspiring young minds? Join Young Engineers Worcester as a STEM Teaching Assistant Apprentice and help deliver engaging, hands-on STEM learning through after-school and weekend clubs. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real classroom experience while working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with planning and preparing learning activities
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom
- Support pupils in achieving learning goals (e.g., guided reading, activities)
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to instructors
- Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies
- Carry out basic administrative tasks
- Help deliver fun, hands-on STEM sessions that inspire curiosity and learning
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children (schools, clubs, youth work, etc.)
- Confident, energetic communicator and positive role model
- Reliable, organised, and passionate about education
- Ability to work after-school hours and weekends
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Requirements
- Must complete a DBS check and safeguarding training before starting
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and company procedures
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Support the wellbeing of children and staff
- Work in line with Ofsted requirements
- Report any safeguarding concerns immediately
- Paid travel time to and from the school
- Minimum of 16 hours per week
- Full STEM curriculum and session training provided
- All materials and equipment supplied
