Impact Futures Group have a brand new exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Quality as Digital Content Designer. This is a remote role with occasional travelling for meetings.

The Role

We are looking for a creative, digitally confident and learner-focused Digital Content Designer to join our team and play a key role in shaping how learners experience education and training. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining learning design, creativity, technology and innovation to develop engaging digital learning experiences that support outstanding learner outcomes.

Working closely with our Learning Architect, subject matter experts, quality and assurance teams and wider operational colleagues, you will design and develop high-quality digital learning content, teaching materials, learning activities and assessment resources. You will also help us make the most of Aptem, AI and emerging learning technologies, continuously looking for new and better ways to engage learners, improve the learning journey and make our content more effective.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing and maintaining engaging digital learning content across our curriculum areas.
  • Transforming existing learning materials into interactive, learner-centred digital experiences.
  • Creating teaching, learning and assessment resources that support different learning styles and needs.
  • Developing multimedia resources including videos, interactive activities, presentations, digital workbooks, assessments and learning guides.
  • Ensuring learning content is accessible, inclusive and aligned with Equality, Diversity and Inclusion requirements.
  • Reviewing learner feedback, performance data and quality assurance outcomes to continuously improve content.
  • Supporting curriculum and product development, including new programme launches and curriculum reviews.
  • Creating and maintaining learning content and programme structures within Aptem and associated learning technologies.
  • Working with subject matter experts and quality teams to ensure content remains accurate, compliant and industry relevant.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve learner and colleague experiences through digital systems and technology.
  • Delivering training, workshops and support sessions to colleagues on new curriculum products, resources and systems.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in digital content design and educational technology.
  • Creating guidance and implementation resources to help colleagues confidently use new content and digital solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in AI, educational technology, digital pedagogy and learning design.
  • Exploring and implementing appropriate AI-enabled solutions to improve content creation, personalisation, learner engagement and operational efficiency.

About You

Essential:

  • Level 4 or above in a relevant subject area, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A qualification in Learning Design, Instructional Design, Digital Learning or Education, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in digital content creation, digital learning development, curriculum design or educational resource development.
  • Experience creating engaging teaching, learning and assessment materials within education, training or apprenticeship environments.
  • Experience using digital authoring tools and learning technologies.
  • A strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories and current pedagogy.
  • Experience developing content for online, blended and face-to-face learning.
  • An understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive learning design.
  • Excellent written communication and content creation skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • The ability to collaborate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • High levels of digital literacy and enthusiasm for adopting new technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and how they can be practically applied to learning and curriculum development.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  • The ability to use feedback and data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and learner-centred practice.

Desirable:

  • Experience using Aptem or a similar Learning Management System.
  • Experience within apprenticeships, further education or work-based learning.
  • Knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
  • A teaching qualification or willing to work towards it.
  • An Assessor or Internal Quality Assurance qualification or willing to work towards it.
  • Experience creating multimedia, interactive or video-based learning resources.
  • Experience using AI-enabled content creation or learning design tools.
  • Knowledge of learning analytics and learner engagement data.
