Impact Handling are actively recruiting for a workshop engineer to work within a busy depot. You will report into your section manager and will ideally have experience working with materials handling equipment or similar.
You could be involved in accurately diagnosing faults with machinery, servicing and repairs/rebuilds. A typical day will consist of working on a variety of equipment ranging from small electric powered machines to large gas/diesel powered forklifts.
You will be expected to work independently in a safe manner, communicate well with internal colleagues, and ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly.
Skills and Experience- A technical background from within Materials Handling or similar
- Previous experience and qualifications from an engineering role
- Experience working on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Good attitude with the ability to stay motivated and productive
- A customer focused perspective and approach
- Work independently in a safe manner taking into account both your own and other people's safety
