About the role

  • Location: Covering schools in the Rochester area
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday
  • Shifts & Working hours: 10am-2pm (20 hours per week)
  • Working Weeks: 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)
  • Pay Details: £10,256.40 per annum (plus mileage at 45p per mile or public transport reimbursed)

This role is a catering assistant working across a small portfolio of schools; you will not be based at a single school but will be supporting sites - travel will be paid and you will be advised in advance of the schools you will be covering.

Working as part of the catering team at the site to provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers, you will:

  • Assist in the preparation of food and snacks for the site
  • Perform counter service and till work
  • Keep the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state at all times

We’re open to people with great customer service skills, ideally from a catering or retail background. We’re not in the business of making school food; we’re here to make good food, after all, that’s why our clients and customers love us!
