Relief Chef – Impact Food Group

Base pay range

£14.50 per hour plus mileage paid.

Job Details

  • Area: Middlesbrough to Newcastle
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7am‑3pm (40 hours per week)
  • Working weeks: 42 weeks per year (term time, inset days)
  • Full UK driving licence required and access to your own vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the training and development of onsite chefs.
  • Cover sickness across sites and be part of the mobilisation team.
  • Support in the kitchen when needed and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
  • Self‑motivated, resilient, and highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Experience in a catering or foodservice environment is desirable.

Selection Process

An interview and kitchen visit will be required for this role. Successful candidates are required to undergo an enhanced DBS check, which IFG will pay for.
