Welcome to IFG, we are one of the fastest growing education catering companies in the country and were recently awarded Education Caterer of the year at the Foodservice Catey Awards. We want awesome people to help us feed more children better food.
The role involves supporting the Croydon area, working Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3:30pm (45 hours per week) for 42 weeks per year (term time, inset days and 3 additional weeks).
Pay Details: £35,000 per year
Benefits: Mileage paid at 45p per mile, free meals on shift, uniform, pension and other great company benefits.
This is a mobile position and will require a full valid UK driving license.
Duties Include:
- Cooking from our amazing menu from scratch
- Managing a full kitchen team
- Ordering produce
- Responsible for health and safety
- Being financially accountable for the unit attaining its GP/COGs
- Maintaining a high level of food safety and hygiene compliance
Skills needed:
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff
- Technical cooking skills
- Ability to work in challenging environments while maintaining high standards

- Food hygiene and food preparation qualifications
Your background should include great cooking and people management skills. You will be an experienced Chef Manager, used to cooking with fresh seasonal ingredients at volume, managing your kitchen and liaising directly with onsite clients. As manager, you will head up the team, ensuring service runs smoothly and that all due diligence is adhered to.
