Hawkstone is one of the fastest growing premium beer and cider brands in the UK, operating across retail, hospitality, direct to consumer and merchandise channels.

As the business scales, the volume and complexity of stock movements, inventory records, production inputs and fulfilment activity continue to increase.

The Inventory Co-ordinator plays a critical role in maintaining accurate, controlled and traceable inventory across Hawkstone sites and third-party locations, owning the day-to-day administration and control of stock receipts, movements, reconciliations and inventory records to ensure physical stock and system stock remain aligned.

Working closely with supply chain, logistics, finance, production partners, suppliers and site teams, the Inventory Co-ordinator ensures stock is received, booked, transferred, investigated and closed accurately, with clear reporting and timely escalation of discrepancies, delivery issues and inventory risks.

This role requires a highly organised and detail focused individual, comfortable working across multiple systems and locations, who can follow transactions through from source documentation to final resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and control internal transfers, inter-site movements and approved stock adjustments, tracking movements through to completion.
  • Coordinate stock counts across multiple sites, owning the resulting reconciliations, investigating variances and maintaining clear action logs until issues are closed.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, missed deliveries, booking errors, incorrect locations and unexplained inventory movements, identifying root causes and recommending controls to prevent repeat issues.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and controls for Hawkstone or partner inventory locations, working with site teams to resolve unprocessed transactions.
  • Manage returns, damaged, rejected and quarantined stock, tracking items through investigation, credit, rework, release, disposal or approved write off.
  • Review and close purchase orders, batches, transfers and inventory records once all stock activity and checks are complete, maintaining a disciplined closure routine to support month end reporting.
  • Prepare regular reporting on stock accuracy, reconciliations, aged transactions, discrepancies, returns and quarantine, and support ongoing improvement of inventory processes and systems.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with product codes, batches, quantities and locations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple open transactions, queries and deadlines.
  • Clear communication and problem solving skills, with confidence coordinating across internal teams, suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Experience within FMCG, alcoholic beverages, brewing, food manufacturing or another fast-moving stock environment.
  • Experience controlling inventory across multiple sites or third-party logistics locations.
  • Exposure to duty suspended or traceability sensitive inventory.
  • Personal Attributes
  • Highly organised and comfortable taking ownership of detailed inventory processes.
  • Methodical and accurate, with a strong instinct for spotting information that doesn't reconcile.
  • Proactive in following up outstanding actions and escalating issues when required.
  • Calm and solutions-focused under competing priorities, collaborative and relationship-driven, accountable for completing transactions and investigations to a clear, evidence-based conclusion.
