*HGV Class 1 Driver (CE Licence)* *Location:* Winsford, Cheshire *Hourly Rate:* £16.00 per hour *Overnight Allowance:* £26.20 per night (tax-free) *Job Type:* Permanent, Full-time *Schedule:* Monday to Friday *Holiday:* 20 days per year, plus all bank holidays *Role Overview* We are looking for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, timely, and professional delivery of goods to our customers. Operating Single, double deck and Moffett trailers, you will report directly to the Logistics Manager and support the business through reliable and efficient transport. This is a physically demanding role, requiring manual loading and unloading of steel wheeled containers. If you're an experienced, motivated HGV Class 1 driver looking for a permanent full-time position with a well-established company, we’d love to hear from you. *Key Responsibilities* * Operate HGV Class 1 (CE) vehicles in a safe and professional manner. * Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues. * Deliver and collect steel waste containers to customer sites nationwide. * Secure and manage loads in compliance with safety and legal requirements. * Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatch. * Uphold high standards of customer service and represent the company positively. * Assist with trailer loading/unloading as required; forklift drivers often assist upon return to depot. *Schedule & Working Conditions* * Working days: Monday to Friday * Start times between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM depending on customer requirements.
