Impact Energy Partners are recruiting for a Solar Electrician/Installer with both solar and battery experience for residential work.

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar PV Installer and Electrician to join their team in Ware. This role involves installing photovoltaic systems and electrical components for residential, commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and practical experience with rooftop installation as well as electrical infrastructure. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within the renewable energy sector, contributing to sustainable development and energy efficiency.

Duties

  • Installing solar photovoltaic panels on roofs, ground mounts, or other structures in accordance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Connecting electrical wiring, inverters, and other system components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Using hand tools and power tools to assemble mounting systems, conduit runs, and electrical connections.
  • Conducting system testing and troubleshooting to verify proper operation of installed systems.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Assisting with site preparation, including mechanical setup as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout each project phase.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an electrician with knowledge of electrical wiring, circuitry, and safety standards.
  • Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems installation processes and electrical integration.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals accurately.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely.
  • Relevant certifications or licences related to electrical work or renewable energy installations are preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience will be highly regarded.
  • A proactive attitude towards safety procedures and teamwork is essential for success in this role.
