We are seeking an effective and results-driven BMS Sales Engineer to join our team in London & the South East. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling building energy management system solutions, including HVAC control systems and energy‑efficient building technologies. As a key member of our sales force, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, working with clients across a variety of sectors to deliver BMS solutions that meet the needs of the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients across all building sectors.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends/technologies.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure profitable sales while meeting customer needs and expectations.

Technical Consultation and Solution Design

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise on building management systems, HVAC controls, and other energy‑efficient technologies.
  • Understand client specifications and project drawings, generate point and IO schedules.
  • Develop detailed project scopes, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
  • Assist in the design and configuration of building energy management systems to ensure optimal performance and energy savings.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients throughout the sales cycle, including post‑sales support and customer service.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and track customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance the overall customer experience.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and marketing, to ensure alignment and achieve sales goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop sales materials, case studies, and promotional campaigns.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance the company’s visibility and brand presence.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be self‑motivated & proactive with a strong desire to achieve in a sales environment. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as the ability to work well in a team or alone. The ideal candidate will have experience within BMS sales; we are open to experienced BMS engineers who are looking to move into a sales position. Impact will provide full training to help you maximise your sales career.
