The Role As the Project Engineer you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the project, managing & commissioning the works from conception through to client handover. We work with a variety of customers including Mechanical and Electrical Contractors, Construction Contractors and End Users. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, to specification and with a satisfied customer.

Project Management

  • Oversee BMS projects from conception to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to define project requirements and objectives.
  • Procure equipment and sub-contractors for the works.

System Design and Development

  • Develop system designs and schematics based on project requirements.
  • Select and specify appropriate hardware, software, and control strategies for BMS solutions.
  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including wiring diagrams, schedules, and technical submittals.

Installation and Commissioning

  • Supervise the electrical installation subcontractors.
  • Perform programming, configuration, and testing of control systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Conduct system integration and interface with third‑party systems.

Technical Support and Training

  • Provide technical guidance to installation teams and resolve on‑site issues.
  • Deliver end‑user training and develop operation manuals for clients.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all systems meet Impact standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct post‑installation reviews and provide recommendations for system optimisation.

Finance

  • Be aware of contract costs and margins and look to increase margin when procuring equipment and sub contract work.
  • Ensure invoicing is done on time to suit the job requirements, check payment schedules/client order.
  • Approval of suppliers/sub‑contractors’ invoices against costs and completion of work/items supplied.
