Role Description
The Learning Content Specialist designs and delivers high-quality digital and media learning materials for schools and trusts, including guides, toolkits, presentations, eLearning modules, and video resources. With an education focus, the role translates complex finance and system processes into clear, engaging, and accessible content that supports diverse audiences.
Working cross-functionally, the role contributes to customer onboarding, product training, and community engagement by maintaining resources in the LMS and Zendesk knowledge base. It also ensures content is structured for AI-powered help, guiding users quickly to accurate answers, and aligned with IMP Software’s values and goals.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain learning content (guides, toolkits, eLearning, video) tailored for schools, trusts, and finance teams.
- Translate complex finance topics into user-friendly materials.
- Develop content plans aligned to product releases and school year cycles (BFR, forecasting, year-end).
- Build and manage e-learning modules, webinars, and blended learning paths.
- Maintain and optimise Zendesk knowledge articles, playbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and best practice in UX and learner engagement.
- Use analytics, feedback, and AI insights to improve content and training.
- Support Customer Success with onboarding packs, newsletters, and forum resources.
- Produce internal playbooks, quick guides, and training documentation.
Skills, experience, and attributes
- Experience in content management, training, or documentation within an education environment.
- Skilled in creating clear resources for school and trust finance systems, with familiarity of finance-related software (desirable).
- Knowledge of LMS platforms (Totara, Moodle, Docebo) and Zendesk Guide (desirable).
- Strong writing, editing, and proofing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to simplify complex finance processes into practical, engaging materials.
- Familiar with SaaS in the education finance sector (desirable).
- Understanding of accessibility, UX, and learner engagement principles (desirable).
- Analytical, comfortable using data and feedback to refine content.
- Adaptable, with an interest in AI and digital tools that enhance learning.
