Role Description: As our Content Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the charge in planning and creating high-quality content that drives demand, deepens customer engagement, and strengthens IMP’s voice in the MAT and wider education finance sector. Central to our solutions-led strategy, your work will span thought leadership, product storytelling, and advocacy content—delivered across formats from blogs and guides to video and podcasts. Collaborating closely with internal experts, freelancers, and our PR consultant, you’ll bring our unified platform to life through compelling narratives that resonate with finance leaders. You’ll also help build a network of sector contributors and ensure our content reaches the right people, in the right way, at the right time.

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Planning: Build and manage the content roadmap in partnership with Demand Gen and Brand & Community Managers. Plan and prioritise content that supports both campaign objectives (awareness, demand, nurture, advocacy) and evergreen value. Collaborate with internal SMEs (e.g. Founder, Product Team, sector finance experts) to surface unique insights and POVs. Work closely with Demand Generation Manager and Brand & Community Marketing Manager to analyse success of content performance and engagement to create a cycle of continuous improvement.
  • Content Creation & Management: Write, edit and oversee the production of high-quality content including blogs, guides, whitepapers, customer stories, and thought leadership pieces. Lead content planning for product launches and campaign cycles, aligning messaging with demand generation and customer marketing needs. Own the planning and production of our MAT Finance Show podcast – working closely with our PR consultant to source guests, develop episode themes, prepare interview briefs, and manage post-production. Manage external copywriters, designers, video editors, and motion graphic freelancers to scale content production.
  • PR & Industry Influence: Work closely with our external PR consultant to turn content into visibility through thought pieces, media contributions, expert commentary, and press-ready assets. Co-own the development of a growing network of finance leaders and industry voices who can contribute to IMP’s content and events.
  • Channels & Formats: Oversee a diverse content mix: written, video, podcast, motion, webinar assets, etc. Work closely with the Demand Gen and Brand & Community Managers to monitor content performance and use insight to optimise and evolve future content.
  • Collaboration & Culture: Embed a content-first mindset across marketing, sales and product – helping teams bring value to life through storytelling. Act as the editorial lead within the marketing team, ensuring brand tone of voice, messaging consistency and content quality standards are upheld.

What You’ll Bring: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills – with a portfolio of content that educates and engages senior B2B audiences. Proven experience in B2B content marketing, ideally in SaaS, education, or finance sectors. Strong project management and editorial planning skills – able to manage multiple content workstreams simultaneously. A collaborative, curious mindset – comfortable working cross-functionally and guiding freelancers to deliver high-quality work. Familiarity with MATs and their financial challenges, or a strong interest in learning the sector quickly. Experience in managing or contributing to PR/media relations and influencer outreach is a plus. Strong exposure to modern marketing automation tools and best practices.

Benefits: 27 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays (with a buy option up to an additional 5 days). Enhanced Maternity and Paternity leave. AXA Health insurance including dental, optical and mental health. Broadband allowance. Home office stipend. Life assurance (4 x basic salary). Encouraged and funded CPD.
